The Brief
This holiday home was bought 5 years ago and not used by the client as it had many problems and was a headache every time they visited. As the house is in multiple levels, all with potential sea views, we changed all the balustrades, windows and doors to frameless glass which immediately elevated the outlook from every room in the house. Access to the pool area was very awkward, entailing walking downstairs from entertainment floor to go out the back door, past the wash line and down stairs to the pool. Obviously not what you want for guests !
We opened up a doorway from the dining room with a staircase directly down to the pool area. Transformed a storeroom into a pool room with kitchenette, shower and toilet and provided built in seating at the pool area.
The Master bedroom was revamped with wallpaper, luxurious linen and light fittings. Further bedrooms, lounge and family room were freshened up with accent walls, scatters and throws. We took out a dark wooden front door and replaced with a double glass door paying homage to the breathtaking views experienced as guests enter the the lobby and gaze directly across the ocean.
The clients now use the house weekly and are thoroughly enjoying the convenience of their home!
